These easy to make, low tox tablets are safe from unknown chemicals that leave residue on your glasses. Switch out your store bought dishwasher tablets with this natural recipe!
DESCRIPTION
In a large mixing bowl, add bi-carb soda, salt and citric acid. Mix with a wooden spoon until well combined.
Add lemon and lemongrass essential oils. Mix until well combined and dispersed through the mixture.
Pour in vinegar and mix until combined until the dry ingredients are coated well and the texture resembles wet sand.
Spoon mixture into moulds, working one at a time. Pressing the mixture down with a spoon or your fingers until it’s well packed and filled to the top. Repeat with remaining mixture. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your mould.
Sit pan aside at room temperature for 4 hours or overnight until the tablets have dried and turned solid.
To remove, simply pop each out of the mould, they will come out easily. To use: place 1-2 tablets into your dishwasher tablet compartment or if your tabs are too large, place them in the cutlery drawer. Run your regular dishwasher cycle.
Store tablets in a glass jar with an airtight lid, in a dry dark place.
