GROWING & PROCESSING
Indigenous to Australia, the macadamia nut tree is a small to large evergreen tree 2-12m tall. The fruit is very hard which contains one or two seeds which are then cracked open to show the nuts once sufficient moisture has gone. These macadamia nuts are raw so they have not gone through any heat treatment or roasting.
Our Raw Organic Macadamias are grown in the state forests of Southeast Queensland using holistic biodynamic farming practises. To protect the long-term health and integrity of the soil, the Wodonga Park team cultivates their crops using natural remedies rather than synthetic insecticides and herbicides. Wodonga Park's warm subtropical climate and rich volcanic soil make it an ideal location for growing high-quality macadamia nuts. Wodonga Park also grows biodynamic macadamias alongside avocados and lemons. Learn more about Wodonga Park here.
