Our organic white rice flour is made from raw, long rice grains which have been polished, removing outer bran and germ layers prior to milling. This produces a flour light in texture, neutral in flavour and naturally gluten free!
It is an excellent alternative to wheat flour for individuals with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease.

HOW TO USE
As white rice flour contains no gluten, it absorbs liquid differently to wheat flour. Therefore, it's not recommended to substitute 1:1 in recipes.
However, this can be overcome by using gluten-free starchy flours or flours high in protein which improves texture, binding, and moisture retention properties of the final baked goods!
Rice flour gives an excellent crunch (even better than wheat flour) so is perfect for batters and coating when frying.
Brown flour can be interchangeable with white rice flour in recipes if you want a bolder earthier flavour. As the bran is not removed prior to milling it is slighty denser and has a nuttier flavour.
