Dead Sea bath salts may provide relief from the symptoms of psoriasis and eczema by following a recommended six week regimen (three times per week for six weeks).
How to use Dead Sea Salt
For a deep therapy bath, add 2-4 cups of salt into an average size bathtub and soak for around 20-30 minutes or as long as is comfortable & relaxing for you. Deep therapy baths should be done only a few times per month. Use hot water to aid in detoxification or warm water for maximum absorption of the salt’s nutrients. The detoxification process will pull moisture from your body as it eliminates toxins, so be sure to drink plenty of water to re-hydrate yourself while following a bath salt routine.
For everyday bathing, add approximately 1-2 cups of salt into an average size bathtub and follow the same instructions as above. Everyday baths are just as the name suggests – you can enjoy them as often as you would like! For added benefits and enjoyment, try mixing your sea salt with therapeutic oil.
For localised skin inflammatory symptoms create a body wrap by dissolving approximately ¾ cup of salt in 10 litres of warm water. Once fully dissolved, saturate a small to medium sized towel with the salted water. Cover the affected area of skin with the towel for 20 minutes. Rinse with water after use. Repeat 3 times per week for 2-4 weeks. After symptoms subside reduce to maintenance levels – approximately once per week.
Please be aware that Dead Sea salt is prone to absorbing moisture from the air. Be sure to store your salts in an airtight container to avoid clumping.
